  We are now open for 2026 Meanwhile we are planning & preparing the garden centre for an exciting year ahead, when are daily hours will return to normal.


Tuesday 13.00 Wednesday 10.00 - Saturday - 10.00 - 18.00

 Sunday - 10.00 - 17.30


We have FRANCHI SEEDS in abundance including Fruit, Leaf & Root. 

If we don't have your desired seeds in stock we will try our very best to get it in for you. 


Seed Compost a very fine mix indeed in both Large or small bags .

Whoopeeeeeee the sun is out and it's warm, yet don't be sure that this is the most extreme weather to have arrived onto this island. More enroute.

Come on down and purchase some quality fleece which will protect  your most vulnerable plants. Cut to the Metre or if you prefer, the yard.

Oh my goodness the sweet armours of spring have arrived!

Check out the growing number of spring bulbs in pots just or actually about to flower that we have in stock, just for you. Yes You!

The daylight hours are already seen to be longer and the birds on sight are singing hearts out. You are invited to come hear the chattering sparrows.

Welcome to Growing Concerns - Your Local Garden Centre with a Heart

Nestled in a yard along the River Lea (Lee Navigation), Growing Concerns is the local garden garden centre where you can find a selection of outdoor plants, gardening tools, gardening supplies, pots, compost and much more. We've have what you need to transform your space. Our friendly team is always here to offer expert advice and support.

Should you like something we don't have currently in stock? We love to be challenged and will do (almost) anything to help our customers. 

What's in stock and in season;  Fruit, Vegetable & leaf seeds and Seed compost, Helleborus, viola and Pansies, Primula.

We also have many perennials that are good for planting now, in preparation for the coming year, lots of shrubs and even some sapling trees.

We also provide compost in large and small bags so you don't need to keep a big (40/50L) bag on the balcony or taking up room in the shed for months.

Come and have a chat or just come and enjoy looking at the endless possibilities.
